Kootznoowoo, Inc. is now accepting candidate packets from shareholders interested in running for a seat on the Board of Directors.  Three seats will be up for election at the 52nd Annual Meeting of Shareholders which will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Angoon Elementary Gym in Angoon, Alaska.

Shareholders who are interested in running for the Board of Directors must complete and return a candidate packet by the deadline, which is set as March 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (Alaska Time). All candidates are independent as Kootznoowoo does not put forth a board slate.

Packets can be downloaded HERE from the Kootznoowoo website, or one can be requested from the Corporate Office at (907) 790-2992.

To be included on the corporate proxy:

  1. The independent candidate’s name may not appear on any other candidates’ or slate’s proxy; and
  2. The independent candidate must complete a proxy statement questionnaire and independent candidate agreement. These documents must be delivered to the Corporation by the deadline below. These documents are included in the information packet for independent board candidates.

Independent candidates not included in the corporate proxy must comply with all filings and requirements of non-board solicitations described in 3 AAC 08.355.

Any qualified Shareholder who is interested in submitting resolutions or proponent statements to be considered at the 52nd Annual Meeting, may do so provided that such resolutions or proponent statements are provided to the Corporate Secretary by the March 17th deadline and must comply with Kootznoowoo’s Bylaws and Alaska law.

Chico serves as a jack-of-all-trades for the corporation. His main responsibility is overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the K-Plaza building. However, he provides additional support when needed on a variety of projects. He is based in Juneau.
