Kootznoowoo, Inc. marked the completion of the dugout Canoe Project with a formal ceremony and dedication in Angoon.  The event began with a walk down Front Street in Angoon to celebrate the strength and resiliency of the People of Angoon and honor the precious lives lost during the Bombardment of Angoon on October 26, 1882. Following the walk the canoe, which was carved by Master Carver Wayne Price in partnership with Angoon’s children was formally transferred from Kootznoowoo, Inc. to the children and youth of Angoon.  The dedication was followed by a community meal.
