Kootznoowoo Inc., in partnership with Sealaska Heritage Institute, is sponsoring a spruce-root weaving class in Angoon from Sept. 12-25. The class will be led by teacher Aánutein Debbie Head. No experience is needed to successfully complete this workshop.  Workshop costs include a $50 registration fee and $150 supply fee.  All tools and supplies will be provided by SHI.  Scholarships are available to Angoon tribal members.

The application deadline is Sept. 8th at 4:00 pm.  Classtimes are Monday-Friday, 5:30-8:30 pm, Saturday-Sunday, 9 am-1 pm.

Chico serves as a jack-of-all-trades for the corporation. His main responsibility is overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the K-Plaza building. However, he provides additional support when needed on a variety of projects. He is based in Juneau.
